LogInventory 9.8.0 Build Dec 12, 2024 |
New Azure AD: The last login date (interactive and non-interactive) is now retrieved for users. NOTE: This requires extending the App Registration permission in Azure according to this chapter in the manual (to grant access to the AuditLog): Tip: This allows you to analyze which users have a Microsoft365 license assigned but haven’t logged in for a long time. See the “Interesting” folder: Web Viewer: Asset Details Page: New Viewing and reactivating archived assets is now possible. New Significant performance improvements. License Management: New New Price Calculator for easier price entry (including VAT and gross/net options in the settings). “Edit License” is now available in query ribbon menus only if a license is selected. New versions of Office, Visio, Windows Server included. |
LogInventory 9.7.0 Build Jul 31, 2024 |
New: Reading out docking station information: Model, serial number, and firmware of the connected docking station can now be read out on Windows laptops. Please refer to the instructions in the manual to find out which drivers need to be installed on the laptop! New: Docking station information and hard disk information can be used to directly create peripheral devices in LOGINventory (analogous to monitor information). New entity “Firewall”: For the three firewall profiles “Public”, “Private” and “Domain”, it is determined for Windows devices whether the firewall is activated or deactivated in each case. New: For assets created manually / imported via csv import, the serial number is used as the identification criterion (sole fingerprint feature). This means that an asset can already be created in LOGINventory for devices that are still in the inflow (“pre-staging“). If a device with the same serial number is then recognized during a later scan, the information is merged – it is no longer necessary to change the name of the asset before the first entry. More information on this in the manual. New License Management: Compound products: Combining several products with any metric into a “compound product”. Separate dialog for storing licenses without having to define corresponding products beforehand. New More values read from virtual machines (VM guests) during VMware / Hyper-V scan: HWVersion Tags (VMware only) Generation (Hyper-V only) ToolsVersion (VMware only) DnsHostname of VM (VMware only) New setting to prevent users with the “Guest” role from double-clicking on assets to view the details. This allows you to specify that guests can only access the data that is part of the query that has been shared with the user. |
