Version Change log
Sidewinder 9.75 Jan 16, 2025 Several additions and improvements in the stringer calculations. All new updates are included when exporting files to AutoCAD dxf format
Several user interface updates and improvements.
Added an input for multiple reeved take-up pulleys. This allows the take-up displacements, take up cable sizes, take-up winch forces, and other details to be calculated. This is useful when working with longwall and trunk conveyors. Please see the “Connected Take-up Pulley” tooltip for details
We also added double, triple, and quadruple take-up pulley layouts for entering the geometry of these conveyors
Sidewinder 9.72 Dec 17, 2024 Updated the internal catalog database for several belting manufactures.
Sidewinder 9.69 Oct 17, 2024 Several new updates for the CAD Overlay feature for both vertical and horizontal curves.
Added default load cases for horizontal curves.
Sidewinder 9.68 Sep 23, 2024 Several new updates for the CAD Overlay feature for both vertical and horizontal curves.
Added default load cases for horizontal curves.
Sidewinder 9.66 Aug 13, 2024 Several new user interface updates.
Sidewinder 9.65 Jul 29, 2024 The worm belt top cover thickness (tm) used for the Belt Life estimation is now equal to the thickness of the top cover for the low friction case. Previously tm was set to 0 mm. However, using the worn cover thickness (which by definition is the low friction case) is more reasonable. The user can also change/set the worn top cover value in the ‘Frictional Conditions’ input table.

Previously tm was set to 0 mm. However, using the worn cover thickness (which by definition is the low friction case) is more reasonable.
